I’ve loved the pace of summer – the unwinding of it all. And I covered my ears when I heard things like “Summer is half over!” or “Summer is almost over!”…it felt a little better that way.  We leisurely marked off the simple things on our summer bucket list like “eat shave ice” and “go on a roadtrip” and relished them.  We did so.much.traveling in the spring that it felt good to wind it back and be more present at home with just one week away to explore a couple national parks and a campus visit.   Audrey starts taking college classes in a couple weeks through a concurrent enrollment program where high schoolers get credit for high school and college simultaneously and it felt like less scenery changes would be helpful.

Because i loved college so much, I’m excited for her to dip a toe in it all :)

As a quick reminder, our shooting season ends nov 1 (except for newborns & indoor sessions at home) – here’s a link to make it simple!  I want to be sure there’s time to work on your proofs and orders before the winter holidays and have a little space for a peaceful unfurling of the last bit of the year.

• AD’s open door series is so fun and this cottage has such great color!

• There’s just barely enough time to make this before summer slips away…her description of it being like “if banana bread and carrot cake had a baby” is perfect :) It’s so good!

• Our last trip to NYC included a stop at the Museum of Ice Cream and it was so.much.fun that I’m contemplating going to the one in Chicago. Have you been?  Did it make you smile bigger for days?

• Working my way through the questions here that appeal to me (I printed them and popped them in my bag) and it’s so fun to hear the answers!  They’ve prompted surprisingly delightful conversations!
