new york, new york!

Ilovenywow – nyc has blown me away with it’s wonderful-ness.  new yorkers are g-r-e-a-t!  dan, susannah (of dragonfly children’s clothing) and sofia (audrey’s 22 month old buddy) have been perfect tour guides *and* lined up the absolute yummiest meals (i could go on and on about these!).

i have been naive, friends.  very naive.  i truly thought london was the coolest city in the world but i’m smitten with this place!  dare i say london’s cupcakes could *never* compare to the ones at magnolias (and yes, we also went to billy’s but magnolia’s won hands down…seriously, no question…regardless of what the folks at martha stewart say.  wait in line at least once for one of those little pieces of heaven!))

please please share your favorite nyc stuff (so excited to be headed back in september for catherine’s wedding!)! signing off from the hotel, -melanie-

mackenzie!!
I hope you have a great time at that blow-out ABC meeting this weekend! believe me, there are tons of fun stories from nyc – dan and susannah saw sarah jessica parker when we were headed back to the hotel from magnolias (i however must have been doing my scientific taste analysis of the cupcake because i completely missed it!). as we were leaving whole foods (needed to pick up some stuff for audrey), the street had a temporary blockade because they were filming a chase scene for the upcoming bourne ultimatum with matt damon (i love that series of movies!!!) – kinda random since jason and i had checked last week to see when the new one would be out. it was just fun after fun…got audrey a cute little wooden camera toy at a toy shop, went to fao shwartz, but mostly it was just strolling around (soho had some great street vendors! i got two of the most darling headbands ever made) and eating the most divine food. thankfully lifting the stroller up & down the subway stairs provided a good workout! -m-

Let me know when you’re ready to give LA a shot, Melanie! I know a cupcake place in Bev Hills that will knock your socks off! We miss you!
